Larry C York was born into a large family in rural Logan County, West Virginia near the Hatfield-McCoy battlefield in 1944 graduating from Logan High School in '62. The second oldest of ten enlisted in the US Air Force serving from '62 to '66 ending his USAF career in radar control in Saglek Bay, Labrador as an E-4 Sergeant.

He came to the Piedmont area of North Carolina in 1972 and married Sarah A Vandergrift. They have three children, Brian and twins April and Dawn and two grandchildren, DJ and Hunter Bryant. They had a home built in Pinnacle, NC where they reside. Larry has been marketing Sunroom products for Patio Enclosures since 1998.

His first novel was An Intergalactic Love Story about a strange red light viewed in Northern Labrador in 1965. Following Pancreatic Cancer surgery in 2010, he penned another novel titled The Baron of Nantes and followed it with Return from the Devil's Triangle, a Baron of Nantes Book II. He followed that one with The Chosen One's which was a follow up to An Intergalactic Love Story. Incidentally, all the novels have a Christian theme embedded in the text.

Seven years after the successful Whipple cancer surgery, a new novel, Wanayato, The Stone Warrior is a rendition of what may occur when a young man makes a wrong decision, and abandons women and children in 1881 to hostile Indians to save his own life with the justification that no one could have been saved. He is haunted by his failure and humiliation trying to rectify his horrible judgement.
