Because You're Worth It: 10 Habits Of Happy Women Kindle Edition
"Because You're Worth It: 10 Habits Of Happy Women" is a book for women from all walks of life who find themselves wanting to change habits to improve their life and bring greater joy and happiness into their life. Written in a clear and engaging way, the book is easy to read and easy to follow.
Changing your habits can transform your life drastically, but this is best done in small steps rather than than having goals that are unreachable and unobtainable which ultimately lead to putting more pressure on yourself and worst of all failing.
In her book, “Because You're Worth It”, the author describes 10-habits of Happy women. Having been at an all time low herself, the author describes some of the habits she learned over time, as well as habits she adopted leading to a happier and more fulfilling life.
By changing her habits one at a time and making them her behavioral pattern, she realized that if she could put one habit into practice and achieve it, that it was more manageable [and easier] to move onto another habit, and then another and then another, rather than setting bigger, often unachievable, goals and risking failing at all of them thus becoming more depressed, anxious and worst of all losing her self esteem and confidence.
After taking you along a path of self-discovery and self-worth, the book ends with a 10-day action plan to feeling happier and creating more positive habits that ultimately enrich your life and give you the confidence to accept and appreciate who you are.
The definition of HABIT is “an acquired behavior pattern regularly followed until it has become almost involuntary”.
The lessons outlined in this book are extremely easy to incorporate into your life and these habits you will develop, will become natural and involuntary leading you to create more positive habits while at the same time teaching you how to not only care for yourself, but also accept who you are.
The author teaches the reader to understand that smaller achievements lead to happiness and self worth in positive and caring manner.
Importantly, never regret the past - it is what has made you to be the beautiful woman you are today. Embrace it and remember today is a gift. Enjoy the present and be kind to yourself.
Note from the author: I have found the most wonderful way of accepting who I am is by putting it all down on paper. This is a very healing process and if there is one gift I would like to leave you with, it is exactly that. Write your story and publish it.

This was a great read of reminders on how to care for self, how to be kind to yourself. I liked how each of the ten items was discussed at length and then summed up with realistic action steps. It was also nice to read the personal story of the author to better understand the reason for the book and her personal journey to happiness.

not just women. I enjoyed the real life examples and the related quotes. I especially liked the John Lennon quote.

Starting with a short chapter on the effect self-esteem and belief have on the person you are, this book goes on to share interesting insights into the following 10 habits of happy women:
Think positively
Give generously
You are what you think
Accept yourself
Forgo perfection
Accept criticism with grace
Avoid all or nothing thinking
