Don't know if any other protagonist has ever had an alias taken from a celebrity, but I would think that Frank is up there smiling about Martinez's antics. Both this series and the MacKenzie series have some of the most unusual and original plot lines that I think I've ever seen. Characters are well constructed, and the scenes have subtle nuances that truly bring the action to living color. Real people in real life situations. Very engrossing writing!

Well, first, it has a good plot. Lee might have made it up as he went along, I don't know. But it is a good plot.
And the stunt of having the lust-besotted two main characters trying to capitalize on the most unlikely opportunities for adult recreation (with only the most limited success), that was good too. I hope in some future novel Mannie manages to hit a home run.
Sooooo... Solid entertainment, and lots of opportunities for laughs. Bring 'em on, Mr. Lee; we'd like to see more.

The only reason I gave this four stars instead of five is because I reserve five stars for classic stories that I re-read over the years, predominantly science fiction like Issac Asimov.

This is the third in the series and I am hoping for more. The main characters Manny and Beck are interesting without any of the normal cliches some authors assign. The characters are well developed and have unique traits. I love the dialogue and the mispronounced words and sayings.

The story line moves fast and the scenery where events take place are described to where you can envision the actions.

I think that the plots are well developed and are almost like “The Perils of Pauline” with plenty of humor yet emotional complexity.

I think the books would lend themselves very nicely to a movie, miniseries or weekly series.

I look forward to ready future books.

Kudos to the author, all three books are solid fun reads.

If you have not picked up a book by this writer then you are really missing out on one of the best experiences of your reading life. The writer continues with our two heroes Manny and Beck. In this high risk, high octane story, our heroes finally meet their equals and it makes for one.of the best stories. I love the fact that we get a hero that's not perfect and isn't trying to be. This was such a good thriller and with so many good moments. I look forward to the next installment in the lives of Manny and Beck.

This is such a book! The characters are extremely well written, as a reader you almost interact with them, which is what authors strive for. I could have re a d this without stopping, but as I neared the end I'd just read a few paged, I couldn't bear this book was coming to an end. I hate we readers have to wait to read more, but I know the writing is worth the wait. The other books Author Lee writes are almost as great as this book was. I promise you it is entertainment money well spent!

Always a pleasure, not as humorous as the August books, but fun. Action, adventure, violence, but the good guys usually win. A couple of stumbles with using homonyms and similar but incorrect words, misspellings, and the like. Still, not as many as a lot of books and news articles these days.

I would definitely recommend this book. It was not my favorite but still a great read. Really enjoyed the development of both female characters, Beck and Bronwen. Beck in finding herself and Bronwen freeing herself from her past. Great for the future of Sinatra saga...

Fun and games: it’s what Sinatra gets involved in and it’s what waits for readers. Light, bright writing style is easy on the eye and mind.

This was a great read, with lots of good detail. Never thought I'd be reading about places in Jamaica associated with Bond, but I was, and it was great.

5.0 out of 5 stars More please Alan Lee? Both Manny & August tales are wickedly addictive

I've read all of the Mackenzie August books and Sinatra series and I'm hooked. I've re-read all because the wit, the excitement, the idea that they exist (ok in a literary world) fuels my passion for life. The world was a lesser place until I found these books. Mr Lee - you are awesome & entertaining. And of course, a very smart man. I look forward to more. Thank you

4.0 out of 5 stars Entertaining read

Alan Lee's books are like candy for your brain. Lots of tension between the protagonists and villains keep it interesting, with even the villains having some positive traits. I like the humor and the diversity of the characters, with the hero being Latino against a woman portayed as intelligent and strong. If you can get past the extreme violence that seems to be an integral part of the secret agent genre, the series is well worth a read.
