Samuel Fleming is a Scifi, Dark Fantasy, and horror author who also writes under the pen name RealityLocked.

He grew up in Maryland, spending most of his time swimming and writing. The thing about swimming is that it gives you a lot of time to daydream, so the two hobbies complemented each other well. Idle dray dreams turned into stories, some of which stuck with him for years. These days he swims a little less and writes a lot more.

He loves a good story no matter the medium: Books, TV, video games, comics, tabletop RPG’s, or podcasts–most of which he attempts to share with his wife and three kids, and occasionally on his blog.

I liked this short. The science fiction concept is intriguing, the dialogue is intelligent, the setting is dread inducing and the story feels bigger than its 18 pages.

The mocking way that the entity deals with its captor is biting and razor sharp. And, often missing in short stories, this tale has a proper beginning, middle and end. Recommended

THE SECRET OF MILTON BOSKA by Samuel Fleming is a flash piece of science fiction, but most of the story is a description of the facility, with a brief dialogue between two characters. I didn't find this horrific in any way. More personal drama than anything.

I don't think a short story is the right format for this premise. Fleming should take the Boska family secret and develop it into a full-length sci-fi novel.
