About the author
Michael Anderle (ok, weird talking about myself in the 3rd person) (1967-Hopefully a long time from NOW) was born in Houston, Tx. A very curious child, he got into trouble - a lot. What to do with an inquisitive mind when he was grounded? Read!
Ok, done with all of that 3rd person stuff.
In the first 20 years, I mostly read Science Fiction and Fantasy. In the last 10 years I have enjoyed Urban Fantasy and Military Fiction. With this background, I've been blessed with creating The Kurtherian Gambit series, a well-selling, and fan loved, collection of stories.
The fans have propelled these stories beyond my wildest imagination and they should get all of the credit for sharing with friends, family and occasionally the random person on the street. They are fantastic!

Claire, Jack, and Marissa are recruited by the FBI because they could see mythical creatures. Claire had been friends with a leprechaun, Frank, for a year before they recruited her. Frank had tried to steal her purse but she was a fast runner and caught him.
The FBI had recruited other teenagers that could see the mythical creatures and sent them to a special university, to train to fight against them. The three were paired together at the university to train together. They thought that they would be at the university longer but the FBI needed them sooner than they thought.
There is a lot of different things that happen in all four books that keep your interest as to what the three will face. Also, they end up with different mythers helping to fight against the bad mythers.
Lots of fun with all our myths
Good and bad everywhere
Hope there are more great stories with this universe

Claire is an ordinary girl who is quick on her feet and young enough to be able to see the mythers. When she spies a leprechaun, Frank, stealing a purse she sets chase and to the leprechauns surprise catches him.
This unlikely pair become friends, and when the FBI sends two agents, presumably to collect Frank, Claire sends him to hide and confronts them. But they aren't looking for Frank. They are recruiting for an elite university set up to train young adults to specifically deal with the sudden increased number of paranormals heading to Earth.
Claire is about to find herself in the thick of it all as the agents try to deal with creatures they cannot see and realise that they are going to have to persuade Claire and her newly recruited team, Jack and Marissa, to clear up the vampire population that is creating havoc in Boston. Dragged to earth by a cell of a bigger cult the vampire's are being used as weapons and bait to draw Dracula himself across the divide. Can they use the new skills they've barely learned, and with Frank's help, to wipe out the infestation?
Book 2. They return to university for the next semester only to be called on again. This time to face ghosts in Miami, along with a pair of rogue witches who have decided to try and take control from inside the cult. These two have created a city living in fear as it seems that everyone's worst nightmares have been brought to life. Frank is attacked by one and is reluctantly back in the team. He wants his beer, beach and bowling life back so it's all hands on deck to learn how to overcome this new threat.
Book 3. Hades wants his ghost's back and is accidentally drawn through the veil. Tracking down Tina the witch who survived he frees her from the FBI black site and sets off to meet the cult leadership to find out how they have been able to break the veil. Meanwhile Claire quits when the FBI use her to trace Frank's whereabouts and put him in danger. Hades dicides he's taking over control and going to stop Claire once and for all so he can rule earth. Capturing Jack, Marissa and Sam he draws Claire back to save her friends.
Book 4. The final showdown, with Hades undefeated but weakened from the last battle he calls on Ares, God of War, to help him take over Washington DC and kill the president so he can claim Earth before Zeus finds his way through the veil and claims victory for himself. It's the ultimate battle and Claire, Jack and Marissa are going to need to cross the veil themselves to get help from the most unlikely source. Once they have their powers and Frank makes a sacrifice too far for Claire they have just one chance to win the final battle and protect the world from falling into the hands of a bunch of narcissistic Greek god's who want to use humans as slaves. Can Claire fulfill the prophecy and stop it in its tracks? Will she be able to stop the migration of mythers and close the veil once and for all.
It's ok although they do seem to find it a tad too easy at times..
Claire has been recruited by the FBI/government to train and fight against the creatures coming through the Veil in the Mythological Invasion. Claire has backbone and is the perfect leader for her group, with the bonus help from a leprechaun to fight against the vampires.
This NA urban fantasy story is filled with pop culture references, which are fun at times. There’s also different POV’s with some of the side characters, how were Claire remains the primary. This was an interesting enough story, but unfortunately not enough to keep me hooked to continue the series as there was no real connection with the characters that left me wanting more.
Unfortunately I didn’t finish the remaining books in this series.
