Some say it all began with Harry Potter, then Twilight, then The Hunger Games, then Divergent, then The Fault in Our Stars, the The Maze Runner… ah, phew, wow the list goes on. Sorry if I missed any. As I was saying, YA novels are popular, and, as a writer, it seems like the route to go down is this genre. Seriously, who know that under a decade this is what is accomplished:
- Over three billion dollars in revenue from Twilight, Hunger Games and Harry Potter combined.
- More and more people are being inspired to write a novel, especially in this genre
- Authors are earning greater respect, and the profession is now (often) looked at as an accomplishment before it might have been seen as a hobby or “not a real job”
With that said, it’s imperative to know the ins and outs of the genre, to understand and recognize what to do and what not to do

About the authors
Ora Rosalin grew up visualizing different worlds without limits and creating cultures based on the questions "what if?" and "why not?". After graduating college in 2013, she embarked on a journey where there is no return; where the universe is known for its creativity and has zero limitations.
This universe is commonly known as writing, where the author becomes one with their stories and their characters. Unfortunately, at the time, Ora was far from becoming the next Herman Melville, Virginia Woolf or even J.K. Rowling. She needed to practice the art continually, allowing only improvement with her work. So while trying to make it as a amateur writer, she joined forces with her sister who, at the time, thought Ora was a dreamer. And a dreamer was she indeed!
Now they write together as the Rosalin Sisters, living day-by-day in different worlds and universes, far away from our own, where tales of astronauts, spaceships, zombies, sorcerers, spirits, and all things bizarre, roam around in peace and harmony. Well, at least until the stories are finished....
*There is no limit to a writer's imagination.*
I started writing short stories since the time I was in elementary school. Once I got to high school my teachers gave me accolades on my writings. By time I was writing college paper assignments, they were not only easy but fun. So I began to write my own novels starting with romance and then fiction. Today, I live in a comfortable house and enjoy the winter snowfall.
Now that I’ve collaborated with my sister, Ora, we’ve been on a rapid ride of fiction and how-to books that just makes my head spin (two heads are better than one).
I hope most of my readers can end up with the same success we’ve fallen into but it takes hard work and dedication. :-)
