The River Raft: Teach Your Children Friendship (Riverboat Series Chapter Books Book 1) Kindle Edition
Three animal friends. One baby cow in trouble. Can the power of teamwork save the day?
Titus the badger, Finn the falcon, and Shylow the fox are as different as three friends can be. But they all share the same love of sailing. When they spot a lost calf on the distant shore, the three friends paddle over to help find her family. With no room left on their boat, the friends plan to build a raft big enough for their new traveling companion. But the baby cow won’t step hoof onto the deck until her new ride gets a glamorous makeover. And soon, her design requests leave the friends’ rescue plan spinning out of control. As their quest drifts into dangerous waters, the friends must work together to bring the calf home safe before they are all swept overboard.
The River Raft is a beautifully illustrated children’s chapter book. If you and your children like courageous animals, light-hearted jokes, and imaginative adventures, then you’ll both love this charming story. The story celebrates the special bond that gets formed between completely different animals. It combines the rhythm of Kenneth Grahame’s “Wind in the Willows”, the heart of A.A. Milne’s “Winnie the Pooh” and the playfulness of Mo Williams. Perfect for all children ages 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and up, and Pre-K -5th grade.

The picnic basket was always full of nutritious food.
Titus when he was young fell into a can of green paint & mom could not get it all out of his fur.
He learned to put up with the teasing.
Titus did most of the paddling.
Finn flew overhead most of the time to be the navigator & check out the rough spots in the river.
Emma (baby calf) hollered at the 3 of them. She had been left behind by the herd.
Mr. Jonny Beaver was asked to build a better raft that would fit Emma.
Jonny explained to the 3 of them the materials he needed.
Shylow dug around in the toolbox & found the wire to piece the log raft together.
Emma & Titus climbed aboard. Jonny gave them a shove.
In the end Jonny would steer the raft, Shylow & Titus would take turns rowing, & Finn was soared overhead.
Next a shelter had to be built to keep the rain off of them.
Will they get Emma to her destination?
I did not receive any type of compensation for reading & reviewing this book. While I receive free books from publishers & authors, I am under no obligation to write a positive review. Only an honest one.
A very awesome book cover, great colored pictures & proper font & writing style. A very well written children’s animal adventure story book. It was very easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment.
There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters to keep track of. This could also make another great children’s animal adventure movie, an animated cartoon, or better yet a mini TV series. There is no doubt in my mind this is a very easy rating of 5 stars.

Three friends, Finn the Falcon, Shylow the Fox and Titus the Badger, we're looking for an adventure. They decided to go for a ride on the river. They heard someone crying for help. It was Emma the calf. She was scared because when she woke from her nap, her family was gone. They had been taken down the river by the farmer. Emma was asleep and got left behind. The friends put their thoughts together and came up with a solitopm. .What could it be? You will get to read the book and see. A chapter book just for your child to enjoy. Amazing.
