A very detailed description of the geography and the people along the Yukon River.

Font size is incredibly small. For those who enjoy footnotes, I should note that one unique aspect of the reading experience is that it feels you’re taking in a 140-page footnote. Since this book is public domain, you’d think that 10 bucks would at least get you something that wasn’t bound straight for the recycling. Huge disappointment.

A fascinating account of one of the first real exploration and mapping journeys down the entire length of the Yukon River. I found it so interesting to read about how Schwatka and his men accomplished this, and also Schwatka's observations about the people they encountered. It gives you a lot of insight into Schwatka himself and the culture in which he lived.

No figures (maps, pictures) in book. Font is tiny. For something that is available for FREE online one would assume a paid copy would cater towards quality.
