Love this author. In this book these two authors break down women that truly fit the title of the book.

I love the layout of the material, they have a drawing of the person, a brief history and then my favorite section, Did You Know?. I was not aware that the Supreme Court did not have a female restroom until 1993 after Ruth Bader Ginsburg was appointed to the court. The material information stated she beat cancer 4 times but the media states 5 times. I’m not sure who is correct. Still very informative and entertaining. -

Every time I pick up this author I learn something. Very easy read, my 10 year grandson reads this author and enjoys it. You won’t be disappointed.

Thanks again Bill for a book that is so informing and inspirational! It was so ironic to read about Ruth Bader Ginsburg and her feats. I am looking forward to your next book also. I recommend this book for sure. Maureen

This excellent interesting book mentions about the important accomplishments of some various women. Some of the interesting information that the book's co-authors mention in this book includes the following information: Florence Nightingale was the founder of modern nursing. Florence Nightingale was fluent in four languages: English, French, German, and Italian. Not only did she never marry, but she also turned down numerous marriage proposals, including one proposal by her cousin, Henry Nicholson. She was bestowed many honors in her lifetime. She became ill in 1910 and suddenly passed away on August 13, 1910 while at home in London. Marie Curie was the first person to win the Nobel Prize twice. She was the first woman to receive a Ph. D. from a French university. Elton John wrote his song Philadelphia Freedom for Billie Jean King to commemorate her becoming the first woman to coach a co-ed professional sports team named the Philadelphia Freedoms. Gertrude Bell was the first woman to ever travel alone in the Syrian desert. She never married and never had children.

I really enjoyed Bill’s new Kindle book THE GREAT BOOK Of BADASS WOMEN👍👍🙂 At first I really wasn’t sure if I would like the book. There were a bunch of names of women that I did not recognize in between the ones I did recognize. Boy was I wrong. I found out so many interesting things that I did not know. All of the women in this book definitely deserve to be recognized. It was amazing how much all of these women went through in their lifetimes. Definitely worth reading
My favorite thing about Bill’s books is his section on Did you know? After the main story on each woman Bill always has a Did You Know section of incredible facts.
I like to read the whole book initially but I always find my self rereading the Did You Know Facts over and over again. So if you are like me and you enjoy learning fascinating facts about fascinating women. Read this book. Ruth Bader Ginsburg & Florence Nightingale are just 2 of the women in this book and that alone makes it worth reading.

Another great trivia book by Bill O'Neill with Rachel Walsh. The more sensative spelling is now ASZ a minor trivial detail. At this time of memorializing Ruth Bader Ginsburg we are reminded that a dean at Harvard law school an ACLU were telling women there were no jobs at Law Firms for women. This was in the 1950's when many undergraduate colleges were either male or female becoming sort of co-ed on fraternity party week-ends. It might also be added that another woman Bella Abzug requesting that the UN take up the support of Zionism when also discussing womens rights was told by a male Arab delagate that she could look for equal rights somewhere else.

It reads a bit rough grammatically, as if translated to English here and there. However, it’s an easy-read with factual accounts of women who don’t always receive kudos for their worldly contributions. check out Ching Shih, Pirate Queen of the Asian Sea. Yeah, total BAW (referring to book title without offending).

I’m so pleased there are books like this available. It’s a shame they were not available when I was younger. I feel it’s so important to educate my daughter on the achievements of women over time as none of this is getting taught in school which is a shame.
