It looks like the author just does not understand Javascript prototypes and does not check the examples:
chapter 11 "using prototypes" the example obj.test() crashes ! There is a confusion between object prototype and constructor prototype.
Don't buy !

An elegant exploration of all of the most poignant points of JavaScript. The Author Greg Sidelnikov does a superb job making JavaScript understandable and fun.

Writing style of the author is mesmerizing and it has the flavor of accuracy and depth. This is my first book of JavaScript and a nice book to keep for reference. I would recommend this book to all beginners.
