The women of the family, including Nero's mother Agrippina, his wife Poppaea, and the empress Messalina, contribute their share of villainy to the tale of Nero also. The death of Nero provides a pathetic testimony to the cowardice that often underlies tyranny and he goes down as one of Rome’s worst Emperors, maybe so but women of the family contributed to it in my history teacher opinion, knowing the History of Rome.
