This true account of crime appeals to all those who have been on the earth for any length of time and have observed human nature in so many people. These accounts delve deeply into the fact that free choice is a treasure not to be abused. All choices and decisions ultimately lead to a blessed or self-imposed cursed existence!6

Written in the Victorian age this book moves slower than I am used to reading. It moves steadily along and kept my interest. I recommend this book to anyone interested in a real 19th century detective and the cases his company worked on.
