Nancy Roe likes to surprise the reader (and readers like to be surprised). She does a lot of that in this novel. The only thing we can presume is... No, wait a minute: Don't presume anything except that you'll be wrong about what you think, and you'll enjoy what you find out. Does Cassidy even know her own life's story? Or will that be a shock to her, too? This is a fun novel with some worries over what will befall the protagonist and some chills and thrills. The writing is good and the story mysterious--can be called suspense. Well worth the reading time.
