Sam lives in North Carolina with husband and cat, which is even less exciting than it sounds, so she's not sure why you're still reading this.

She specializes in LGBTQIA+ fiction, usually with a romantic element. There's sometimes intrigue and violence, usually a little sex, and almost always some swearing in her work. Her writing is light and happy, though, so if you're looking for a dark gritty reality, you've come to the wrong author.

This series is a gem, each book focuses on a couple yet also offers glimpses in to the other pairs lives .

Adder and Willow - 4.5 stars
This book was the sixth installment in this series as well as the third book in the second trilogy. As with all of the others, this cannot be read as a stand-alone. This book focuses on one extremely eventful and monumental day in Fletcher and Rowan Harbor’s life. It was both well written and well edited, and the plot line moved along at a great pace. I’m looking forward to reading the next installment of this series tomorrow.

A great story in the series by this author. If you enjoyed the others you will enjoy this one too.

Fletcher is still not comfortable with his abilities. Oak is teaching him, opening up Fletcher to the possibilities of his gift. Falling in love with Connor was scary but meeting Connor’s parents is terrifying.

He rescues a boy and his mother, bringing more trouble to Rowan Harbor, but also the answer to some important questions.

The town must work together as the next crisis overtakes Rowan Harbor. As the town loses an important member Fletcher learns just how necessary his untried powers are.

Another good addition to the series. These characters are more defined in every story. I enjoy how each person has their own role to play but how interwoven they all are to the safety of the town. They really need to be read in order to get the full impact of the story.

So good! I know the final showdown is still on the horizon but this series is so good.

I feel like this story is chugging along very slowly. Not sure what I feel about it at this point. There are also a few plot holes which argh...kinda grates on my nerves a little. So this instalment was just meh for me, to be honest 😑

Fletcher is again in the fore front of this story. Oak has special plans for him if only he accepts. In the meantime, Conner's parents are in town for a visit and Fletcher is more than stressed out. Worried that he won't pass muster with the parent's. Finding a young boy and his mom on an isolated forest road, Noah, a siren and a seer tells the future and Fletcher must keep it quiet, but doesn't know why. Danger is brought to town once more by Burt, who is Noah's father with a wish to kill the whole town. One of the founding witches die and disrupts the whole town's infrastructure and one of the founding fathers of the town leaves. A most interesting book as well as series. Would recommend this book and series for a good read.
