As always another fantastic book by B. A. Streke. I was so happy to see the fates finally gave Peter his chosen, even if it was the demon lord. Wonderful love story. It is refreshing to see the demon lord really isn't so evil and he was willing to help the coven. The one sad part of the story is when Lucas was killed. I was rooting for him to be the next one to find his chosen. I thought it would be cool if he found out his chosen was Robert one of the wolf shifters. I highly recommend reading this book.

I love this series so very much. I wish that we could have seen more of Peter before Nael came into his life so that we could better understand his aversion to change and fear of not being enought for Nael. But, from the bits that we did see, Peter strengthens Nael and Nael definitely appears to be good for Peter.

And the epilogue was epic!

This book carries on the story of the Crimson Coven vampires and their very diverse mates as they realize that war has come to them. The vampire council and several council covens have banded together to bring down the Crimson Coven because of greed and desire for power. Previous books have brought together mates from other paranormal groups such as wolf and dragon shifters, a fae prince and even the Lord of the Underworld! It is going to get even more interesting in upcoming books. It is a great series and worth every dime and time invested.

I didn't like how Peter acted during one period of the story, which of course hurts his demon mate, Nael, and things must then become rectified later in the story line between the two of them. The plot continues to move forward, and the excitement continues on. Overall, a very delightful (just a little sadness) read.
