Computer Security: Keeping Your Computer Safe with Virus Removal Kindle Edition

3.5 3.5 out of 5 stars 19 ratings

Virus removal tools have been around for quite some time. But being taken step by step through finding the virus that has infected your computer, removing it and protecting your computer from future attacks is a whole other story.

By using the best
anti virus software, you will be shown how to find the virus that is ruining your computer life, send it packing and set up your system to automate the tasks of detecting these threats before they make their way onto your computer.

Computer hackers are becoming more and more intelligent. They can develop viruses, malware, spyware and adware that can bring your computer to its knees. It's because of this issue that we need to be prepared for attacks on our personal lives, which most of us keep in our computers. We see new computer viruses every day; each one seems to be a little smarter than the last. So it's important to learn not just how to detect a virus, but also
how to remove a virus<, and develop a plan of attack to head any future attacks off at the pass.

Viruses can attack us at the most personal level. They can get access to our family photos and videos, bank accounts, emails, anything that we store on our computer or in our browser settings. If you fail to protect yourself from viruses you open yourself up to several threats and attacks.

A very popular virus is the FBI virus. This particular threat is very difficult to remove once you know that it's on your system. The FBI virus has caused several computer owners to lose several hundred, and sometimes thousands of dollars. Some may suggest a system restore, or basic virus scan but in many cases this just will not work. Many times it takes more than one specific piece of software to remove this virus.

Another common virus is the "Your system is infected with a virus, buy this software" virus. This is another virus that has caused many people to send money to fake accounts that continue to ask them for "upgrades" to rid their system of the virus. This too takes some specific software and tactics to get rid of.

By buying this book, you will learnhow to delete a virus as well as be taken by the hand and taught what viruses are, where they attack, how to find them, remove them and keep them from coming back. We can promise that by using the techniques and strategies in this book your computer will be free from any threat and have virus protection for free, if that is the route you choose.

One major obstacle people face with computer viruses is they just do not know how to delete a virus or how to protect their computers in the future. There are several band aid techniques that work for a little while, but the virus always seems to make its way back on their system. This book will teach you to use free virus removal tools and the best
free anti virus software and anti virus programs.

The author is a certified computer geek and social media expert. He has run a successful computer repair business, and has helped several customers with their computer issues. He stays up to date with the latest computer and technology news. This allows him to learn about new computer issues and viruses before they go main stream and prepare a method of repair to be prepared.

Virus removal is easy, when you know which free antivirus downloads to install, how to use them and how to keep your system virus free in the future.

If you are looking for a place to start learning about Virus Removal, then this is your book. It definitely starts with the basics and keeps everything short and sweet.

I see this book as more of a primer or foundation of understanding how to use virus protection on your computer. For most people, this will be as much as you will want to or need to know!

Also, the book is kept short so that you don't get overwhelmed with what can be a completely complex topic.

Although, I only gave 4 stars because I thought the book could have been just a bit longer. But, I do have some experience in virus removal which changes my perspective, so it could be just the right length for starters.

So, if you are a beginner, this is a good book to start with.

I picked up this book because I was having some problems with both mine and my wife's computers. After reading this great book and learning more about what a virus really is and how it can impact our lives, I jumped in and followed the easy to read and understand instruction in Scott's book. This has been a real help since most of what I have read or tried to read in the past was way too technical and written where only a geek could understand it!!

The information is accurate and will help with common problems. Not as detailed as I expected though. There are still plenty of viruses and malware out there that will require more effort than this simple removal method.

So, I can social media, email, IM, Text, blog, make a website, etc, etc, but I don't know a cold virus from a computer virus. To make matters worse, we get bogus virus warnings, and worm alerts that are merely pop-ups that lead people to think their PC is infected when its not. Scott Hughes delivers news we can use! If my pc is down, I'm hurtin for certain! Thanks to the Author I have some direction, and it's explained so that even I can understand it. Not only will this book help you, it'll save you money now and in the future.

VERY SHORT, Really Basic, most things can be found through Common web browsing. Suggestions are to get some Name-brand Anti-Virus programs ( McaFee, Norton, Avast, AVG) and go for the Paid-for versions for optimal system health.

I purchased this book in hopes of learning a little more about virus removal (had a trojan on my computer). Well, the content was nothing more than what you could look up on about.com or just google it. This was so not worth the $2.99 I paid for it. The average computer user today will know the basics of a computer. If you know anything about installing programs, doing updates, RAM, hard drive, etc. you will most likely already know everything that is in this book. For someone that is not familar with these things, just go to about.com or even cnet.com. Their information is free.

On top of that, I even contacted the guy on facebook (like it says in his book) and no response yet. Now I am sure that is partly due to facebook now charging $1.00 to send a message if you are not friends with someone (supposedly to prevent spam - whatever it is to make money). Anyway, the author only provides contact information for facebook and twitter. No other way to contact him. So not only were the contents of this book very disappointing, but so was the lack of communication the author promotes in this book.

My advice for buyers, do not buy this book.

This was a great tool for helping me understand what was going on with my computer and to how best solve the problems. Great practical advice that was easy for the non-geek in me to undersatnd and interpret.

In this short guide, Scott gives the reader a greater understanding not only of viruses but also how to remove them. He takes the time to give the reader both paid and unpaid solutions. A good novice's guide to the topic.
