Sure, he’s a talking dragon who she largely has to keep secret from almost everyone she knows, but at least he supports her. And someday she will figure out how to ride him without falling off mid-flight. Maybe.

Feeling deep within her soul that she’s meant for more than an ordinary life, Asher longs to escape her painfully average circumstances, but as she continually prays to God for direction and receives only silence as reply, she grows increasingly desperate for her purpose in the world to be revealed and her life to truly begin. When an opportunity suddenly presents itself, she jumps at the chance, taking her destiny in her own hands. It’s a choice that will launch both her, and Firebird, down a road of adventure and new friends, crossing paths with King Ashbel, Sir Aaron, and Sir Elden in ways no one would have expected, along an intricate journey of danger, hope, and discovery, that leaves her wondering if she really took anything into her own hands, or if a divine purpose has been working all along... with her at the very center of it.
