Dreams My Father Tells Me is the story of a shell-shocked World War II veteran and one of his daughters who, in childhood, tentatively negotiates the no man's land surrounding him. Later, as an adult caring for him during his elderly years, she is finally entrusted with the details of what she knew all along he had been unable to share -- what happened to him over there.
