Sometimes the end is only the beginning.

After battling depression for years, Olivia travels from England to her favorite spot in California to take her own life. After trying to hang herself, she wakes up to find someone has intervened, but the world is not as she left it. The nearby city appears completely abandoned, and together they travel across California to find others left behind, like them.

As they try to piece together what has happened, malevolent forces conspire against them, and Olivia must decide if she is willing to fight for her life.
