I find the premise of the book really odd. A man so self absorbed he has no time to meet his wife until their wedding day? Both of the main characters were much to cavalier in getting married. When the story should have ended, it dragged on with Malcolm's sister being jealous and having a ball to catch her husband . I would pass.

Ms. Gordon write very human stories whilst seeming to address some of the social struggles that are faced in society at anytime. Her main characters are so real. I can picture a person of my acquaintance as each individual. One can identify with the characters. I really love Derek, Logan and Regan. But Derek is one of my favourite hero's that I have come across in a while. I wish the book didn't have to end but I am looking forward to reading Warren's story. I look forward to seeing how Ms. Nordin helps make him more approachable.

This is another author who has not done ANY research on regency period traditions, social mores, or customs and has nevertheless decided to write a regency romance. So if you don’t mind egregious errors on every aspect of this era, go ahead and read this book.
