No one is who they appear to be.

The night he walks into a French restaurant and is love-sick over a young man, is the same night he’s confronted with the truth about himself, and his sham marriage to his beautiful wife. Can the love of his life Jami Caulfield who knows who he is, convince Max that love is never having to say you’re sorry when you accept yourself, and who you choose to love?
Can Maxwell Gold handle all the problems that have been tossed at him when he announces to his father that he’s gay and loves a man?

Hi, I'm Sky McCoy.

I write steamy M/M romance books, and I love to read hot M/M romance. Maybe steamy is too mild a term for my books. Maybe I should say that my gay romance books are hot, hot, hot. I enjoy writing about strong, flawed men who don't mind saying they're sorry when they hurt the ones they love.

I read and write across genres and what gives me pleasure, and there is nothing more pleasurable or satisfying to me than to write a happy ever after hot M/M romance with a kink or two.

My favorite books to read are anything M/M, vampires, werewolves, mystery, action and adventure, and steamy romance. I stay busy reading and writing to bring you the best in M/M romance. I am an actor, educator, and writer, please enjoy all the drama and humor I bring to my books, because I write for you. Enjoy!

Interesting book, I enjoy reading this book. Up and downs, good flow and great start to the a new series. One I think will be enjoyed by many. I enjoy it .

There is no ending. This is not even a happy for now. It is a it's all going to break loose any time. It's an absolutely pheonominal way to set up the series. Great characters. Great story. And so many ways for it to go so wrong or so right.

The plot involves a form of courtship between two men in their twenties: a scion of Wall Street banking firm and a trans waiter/coffee shop owner, set in NYC. The author sets the scenes of upper crust Manhattan with a keen eye. I'll admit to being uncomfortable at points in the tale, but it's not a sugar-coated trope much of M/M romance frequently is. The book ends at a juncture, directing to the next in this series, which I'm not sure I want to read - I'm not invested in the characters.

Boys With Toys book one by Sky McCoy. This is the first book I’ve read by this author. I’m going to read the next book Jami. I’ve enjoyed the characters. The storyline was ok. Something about the story bothers me, but I’m not sure exactly what it is.

I am not one to knock a new author. I also hate to DNF a book. I finished it but i really didn't want to. It had so much potential but felt like the author grabbed on to every trope and stereotype of gay lifestyles and threw it into a story that just didn't flow well. It was all over the place with non-continuity of the story! I'd hoped that at the very least the story would have a decent conclusion but alas, a cliffhanger with my having no desire to read more.

I haven't managed to read a complete novel, which I usually do. I tried valiantly and failed in this case. This is immature writing that came from a very immature person. Noting makes sense, dynamic is off, psychology of characters is jumbled up and messy, POV is not the solution for telling characters story and is also complete mess, and most of all it is sooo booooorrriiinnng my brain hurts. There is a seed of a book somewhere in there, only thing I can say, honestly, to this writer is : go out, live a life, have lots of your own experience and than come back to write

i enjoyed this one. i knew it was a cliffhanger so that didnt bother me... if i didnt know i probably would have been irritated but it doesnt take away from the story honestly. i really enjoyed the characters and the storyline so i am curious to see where it goes in book 2.

Good idea for a story...
However, it desperately needs content editing & proofing. Honestly, as a content editer, I would encourage a total rewrite once edits had been made.

Money isn't everything.
But I would question calling Jami Trans. Trans usually refers to those who have or are in the process of changing sex. Nor is he Transvestite (in my opinion) as he still prefers to appear male. I think Gender Fluid is more accurate because he chooses the bits he likes without staying the same all the time.

3.0 out of 5 stars Stars for potential, but poor execution

This book has don't really serious editing probkems, but the story plot in itself has great potential. Too bad it seems to be more of just a plot outline in some places, and in others the confusing 1st person 3rd person narration exchange seems more an editing errors than a narrative choice.
Potentially good, not so great development of all the particular twists in the plot.

I can't believe I actually wasted my time finishing this book. Blatant errors with 1st person & 3rd person POV, repetitive wording, characters who go from being dominant to submissive in the space of a sentence, making out and groping groins in a "family restaurant" even a name mix up. I won't be reading the next book.
